Prescriptions for Narcotics & Medication Appointments
- You are required to have a signed Controlled Substance Agreement in your Medical Record if receive Narcotic Medications. Southwest
- Medical Clinic will not release any prescriptions for narcotics without a patient completing this agreement.
- In addition, it is our policy at Southwest Medical Clinic not to call in any Class II Narcotic medications to any pharmacy at any time. This is not only a policy but a law regulated by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration). For example, the following medications will not be called in to any pharmacy:
Duragesic Patches, Avinza, Kadian, OxyContin, Percocet, Dilaudid, Or morph, OxyIR, Methadone, Roxicodone, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, MSIR, Hydromorphone Actiq, Many other medications under this category.
